You have 4 categories of hunters:

1. Those who will admit they have or most likely have lost an animal.
2. Those who haven't been hunting long enough to lose an animal.
3. Those who haven't taken enough game....or, been presented sufficient opportuniites to lose an animal.
4. Liars.

After 35 years of bowhunting and living in a state with liberal bag limits (tennessee) I,m not sure how many I have killed or how many I have shot and lost. It used to almost make me sick when I lost one, such a waist I thought, then I realized nothing in nature is waisted. When you shoot a deer and exaust all efforts to find it learn from it and move on. There will be countless critters benifit from it just as they would if it died of natural causes.
