Re: Which one?
I'd be trying for the NT but like I said In Dan's other thread I'd also take Into consideration which one will give me the best chance at getting an arrow off. Wouldn't you be pissed If you passed on a for sure shot on one and ended up not getting a crack at the other one? Tough decisions eh? I honestly hope I never get put In this situation (kinda).

Re: Which one?
I would echo my 7 mag right between them and scare them off and edumacate them both. So they could go back to breeding, and make me nice little tasty deer.

Re: Which one?
I gave this some more thought. Taking into consideration the fact that the world record whitetail typical is 213 and the world record whitetail nontypical is 307 it would be obvious to me that knocking down a true 170 class typical would be much more of a feat than a 195 NT...... Not sure but there might be a formula to prove this. Mathmatically speaking not preference speaking. I would still pull the trigger on the typical regardless.

Re: Which one?
I would shoot the non typ. even if it was a few inches under the 195" mark.

Re: Which one?
hey droptine, if that is how you are reasoning, wouldnt you want to shoot the mature 195 nt, because the 170 typical is only 3, maybe it could reach that magical 213 or better if given the extra years to grow since its not truly mature yet . just a thought

Re: Which one?
Even if the non-typical would only end up grossing 170, I'd still take the one with the most bone. Nets are for fishing...and I don't fish!

I would be happy with either. I would take the first nice shot offered and not regret it. Those size deer are not often seen, much less offer shots.

Being I have a 168 which is close enough I am going with the non-typical.
