No, it makes it less slick.

No noise like there is with a rubber coating if your boots are wet.

Thanks Zap! One more question, did you take all the hardware off or just spray over everything?

I just sprayed the stuff on.

Got some on the straps when I did the buckles.

Two coats first time around.

Zap where'd you get that stuff? I looked on Cabela's site and limbsavers site...couldn't find it. You did say it was made by LS, right?

Does anyone know of any other product that might work. Some of the truck bedliner stuff is kinda soft and could possibly eat up some noise. I was thinking about going to a truck outfitters store to check their products out and see if they'd spray my alpha and sticks for me. That might add a few pounds though....still debating.

I wrapped in hockey tape like Muddy did, then I put camo cloth tape over the top. Not only is it easier to grip than a bare stick, but it is camoed and warmer to the touch, which is nice when trying to setup the stand with bare hands in cold weather. The sticks are quieter, but you also need to be careful about the things you can't get tape on... like the little bolts and screws. The other thing to remember about tape or spray is that if you lay it on too thick, you won't be able to get the sticks to stack together, so it takes a bit of trial and error. Haven't tried the spray, but it looks intriguing for a platform. There's been many a time when I've clicked my release against the platform setting a stand up, and a platform is not really convenient to tape. Also haven't tried Lou's stealth strips, but everyone seems to have good things to say about them.

In thinking about this Lou's strips are probably the best for the sticks/stand...and some spray for the parts that the srips do not cover. 8-)

The strips would last a long time and not need recoating.
