That is the bomb.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

My very 1st buck Is mounted and my biggest buck Is mounted. I'll mount more In the future. Animal mounts are very cool and It's what my house Is all about (hunting).

There is no rhyme or reason for me, to some extent it's the way the hunt unfolds that determines whether I shoulder mount a deer or not. I have some 110-135" deer mounted, yet I haven't mounted my best which is a 164". I had the cape tanned and all, just not in a hurry to get the mount done. My wife has even asked me why I don't mount more of the deer I shoot. She likes the shoulder mounts and would let me have any amount in the house I want, it's just not as important to me as it once was.

Re: Who doesn't get their buck heads mounted?
I have 2 shoulder mounts, 4 European mounts, and many racks just laying around the shed and garage. I give some of my antlers away to an old guy that makes knife handles and broadheads out of them. I will not shoulder mount another for myself until I kill one bigger than the biggest one I have on the wall. If my wife or sons kill a nice buck I will have it shoulder mounted for them though.
