Dressed weight 250.

Shot 10/16....between bedding and food source.
60 yards with 30-30.

Come on Zap 5 years ago. That pick up looks like it's from 1980!

Looking back at the last 10 years is depressing for me... I may have more than the two I mentioned, but I think they were just large 3 year olds... Most of the older deer I shot were between the mid 1980's thru 2000... After that the WDNR started handing out unlimeted tags and big buck sightings went down for me dramatically.

I can't say any of my bucks are over 4.5 for sure other than this one. We cross sectioned his front teeth and got 5.5 based on several people counting and a few different pictures.

Image

The rest I am saying 4.5 or older based on body size, head/skull structure, tooth wear, etc

This deer I cannot say for sure because he's relatively small in the antler department, but he had very very worn down teeth, a large body, and his skull had a huge roman nose on it when I had it euro mounted. The same can be said for Dinkasaurus after his skull was boiled.

Holy COW(S), Muddy!

Congratulations on taking so many FINE bucks!

I saw this pic before and I was gonna ask. Was that deer zebra striped, or is that some camera effect?

Spysar....it's the sunlight effect. His skin was loose, "I guess". He really wasn't a BIG buck. I figure 175#'s. One thing's for sure.....he wasn't a zebra!

Merry Christmas, guys.

Thanks. And I can't add, I voted 5 or 6 and posted 7.

If we counted does into the equation it'd be interesting to see where the numbers would go. I have shot at least 4 does that had teeth worn down even with the gums. Those witches took some work.

If we are going by body size of over 250 lbs then maybe 2. Both does. One in MI and a mule deer in NE. Here is a blurry cell pic from 2008 NE. The MI doe I finally found a pic last year (one of them pics that isn't on my puter). She was huge, think I shot her in 2001.

Image

Longest shot I ever did with the MZ, 202 yds with the TC Omega. First year scopes were legal in NE MZ, yeh that is a scope ring I am wearing. That little pile of rocks is where I shot from.
