Observed the seat post on my 2007 USA made assault flex like crazy when I cam locked it, it creaked and popped when I shifted my weight. After discussing with GrFox found that the best and only way to use the stand is no cam-locking an use both straps.

I would be willing to bet there is something wrong on your stand, like the connection between the batwing and post making the noise, or a nylon washer not put on right.... None of my stands, or my friends stands do that.

You would think but I watched the post as I cam locked it and I could see the whole post flexing/bending. I just use two straps now, no noise since then.

The big observation I made this year: where I hunted that the Rut never really got into full swing like it has in years past.

biggest observation with me would be on public land during the rut. Almost all of the rutting activity was from within the swamp not on the outer edges and transition areas. Another observation is I saw a doe actually FOLLOW a shooter buck into thick cover a week or so before gun hunting instead of the buck chase or follow the doe.
