On one afternoon sit, I passed up half a dozen 2.5 eight points and one 3.5 nine point with a broken tine.

Another sit one doe brought a parade of 8 bucks by my stand. Twice. And I missed the biggest one in the group, a 4.5+ y/o because it wouldn't stop. I missed it point blank cause I led it into a stick I didn't see. DOH! And then every buck in the group gave me a shot. Including 2 eights, and a nice 3.5 ten that stood under my stand. The eights were nice too, I just couldn't shoot after missing the big one.

And that was just two sits...

I just didnt run into any rut parades this year, very strange year for me our deer numbers seem down here, and the rut was never really intense, strange.

It was two spots, both were public.

I saw 9 different bucks this year and I passed on 7 of them. Of the ones I passed 6 were 1.5 year olds and the other one was a 2.5 year old.

Lots of guys with similar numbers as myself. I started counting at the begining of bow season but lost track sometime half way through. Bow season the first 4 weekends I had encounters with BIG shooters but couldn't close the deal. Then going into the rut I didn't have good luck at all as far as larger deer. I didn't have a shooter in bow range until Nov. 12 during the rut, which was a 4 1/2 yr old typical 12. Which a neighbor kid shot scored 175..... Wish I had that one back! But with a bow I would say I passed too many 1.5's to count, a dozenish 2.5's and 3 3.5's. Saw a quite a few 4.5's but only the one shot. With a gun I said first nice buck which was my 11th different buck. He was a 131 8 pt.

I obviously live in the wrong part of the country! In all seasons combined I saw 7 bucks. One of which I killed. I had shot opportunities at three others that I passed.
I hunted a combined total of approximately 20 days.
