Nice bucks for sure.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Well after a long season of up and downs in the woods, my wife had to top it off by telling me she was leaving me! So this season has been shitty to say the least! I get very few days afield bc when Im off duty I get my son. Either way the story behind these deer.... I left from work and met straight up with a few buddies who wanted to push a few woodlots out on our extended gun season. I normally dont gun hunt but this was a great way to be around friends and clear my mind. We push several woodlots with each one producing a buck but no shooters. On the last drive my buddy and I sat up on a creek bank and not 5 mins after sitting down a buck came through nudging 3 does. Its actually the buck he killed in the pic with me. It was his biggest to date and I let the deer walk by me so he could shoot him. I was probably more pumped for him than I was myself! While he was over checking out his buck and making sure it was down I stayed right where I was, you always hear people say "why'd you get up a deer ran right by where you were!" and thats all that was in my head. As everyone piled up around his deer a heard a shot further up in the woods and sure as heck he comes a big buck running right down my throat! Literally this was almost a self defense kill! The first shot was a 20 yards head on about to run me over, the second at 5 feet because I moved from where i was standing or he would of ran me over! He went down on #2 and was still fighting so I put a third in him to end his pain! The crazy part of this hunt is my buddy was only 50 yards away watching it all go down and now we had two buck dead within 5 mins and 50 yards apart! Def a hunt I will always remember! Lightning stikes twice in OH.
