Make the decision for me!

Unread postby BowtechHunting » Thu Dec 15, 2011 1:07 am

I'm off today, but it's going to be some crappy weather, that's why I didn't go this morning. It's 51 degrees right now, supposed to get up to 67, overcast, and winds out of the SEE (horrible wind) at 10-20. I was thinking hunting 10-whatever. Should I save the pressure on the deer, take my chances, or hold off till the time is right. There is a nice buck in the area I've seen once and I have cam pics...Not sure what to do.

I'd give it a try or go to a new spot.

Hunting on the wrong wind will be worthless.

Hunting with the wrong wind is like pissing into the wind.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Wrong wind is waste of time, go scout or hit a new spot sounds good.

Well I'm back from a partial day of hunting....nothing. My hunch was correct, to warm, winds swirled and gusty. But, it was a awesome day to be in the woods!
