Congrats, very cool buck.
I had a buck very similar on my land this year, a nice 8 on the left and double main beam on the right. He was the only buck on the farm that was off limits to people this year because he was only a 2.5 and very good sized and we really wanted to see what he would be like in another year or 2. A guy gun hunting my land passed on him twice this last weekend, the last time was on the last day of the muzzle-loader season, so his chances of making it now that all the gun seasons are done are really good, so I'm really looking forward to seeing him next year. It wasn't easy for a couple of the guys to pass because he is a nice buck and very cool like yours, I'm glad they did though!!

Congrats on the freak buck! :o :P
I shot a 7 point with a extra main beam like you, a long time ago, I remember being so pumped about it! ENJOY! :P
I wonder if it's genetics or an injury that caused him to grow like that? On one of the farms I hunt, we see a fair amount of deer that grow a perfect left side and a spike on the right some times with a point or 2 on the right. Not every year but often enough to notice. What do you guys think is the cause? I read that the doe caries the antler gene and passes it to her buck fawns??
