Our 2011 SW WI Season
Hello, I have been following this website a while and decided to be a board member. I have been watching some of Dan's videos and I realzed I have been doing some things right for a while but a lot of things wrong too. The information on the videos totally changed the way we hunt. Mid season this year I started applying things I learned on the videos to our family farm we hunt in west central Wisconsin. We had a great bow season sadly all I my wife and I managed were 3 rage broadheads covered in dirt....no blood. But we had a lot of fun and seeing we have a young family we were both pretty excited the way the season went. Gun season came around and we really started seeing the deer. We were both successful in many ways but we both took nice bucks on the same day 50 minutes apart. Probably on of my coolest days of hunting!! Even though they were not our biggest bucks we will remember it forever!

Now we got cameras and stands placed for the late holiday hunt where I am hoping to get out wearing my orange hunting with a bow(too bad for the orange)! Great site hope to post more often!

Dandy bucks there.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Nice bucks Sauk Beast. I can't tell for sure, but it looks like your wife's deer may have broke it's brow's off? Glad you joined the Beast!
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Those are a couple of slob 8 points, not a bad hour, it will probably be one of the most expensive hours you've had as well with the taxidermy bill.

Yep, had both broken, it had one left 2 days before Gun opened but he must have had another guy take care of the last one. Thanks for the warm welcome fellas. Dan what did I do wrong on posting the photo? How do I get it to pop up...resize it?
