I don't know about Maryland, but I have been to Ohio. Ed, this offer just for you, PM me and I have a map of 7000 acres of public land you can try...no gaurantees, but a place to start if you don't have one yet.

It's been a crazy couple of days, my kid has had a high temp and work issues have cropped up, etc...

I've been researching it a bit, but hope to put a nail in the coffin by the end of the weekend one way or the other.

Ohio has some great public land & awesome bucks, you just have to be willing to work at it there, which I assume isn't an issue.
Not sure Maryland has much public ground.
