Dream Buck
Just wondering what all of your guys' dream buck is? Specific score? Points? History with deer? droptines? etc.
For me my dream buck would be a buck that I would have been tracking through scouting since he was a 2.5 year old and have his shedsfrom previous years good quality video in hard horn and velvet as well as pics. Then take him at 6 years old wiht dual split brow tines and dual split G2s. Reagardless of score. I love the splits especially on the G2s. Like I said its a DREAM buck. Also I would want my dad to be with me on the hunt when I harvested the bruiser and found him dead.

Re: Dream Buck
I have been chasing a dream buck the last three years. One was shot after the second year chasing him after he reached 4.5 years old, ended up grossing 205 with 21 points. This yr I am chasing a buck in the 170s with 14 points with a droptine. No pics of him since November 8th, I'm pretty worried.

Re: Dream Buck
My dream buck would be a buck that is on pressured public land. One that has survived years of being hunted, years of out smarting everyone in the woods. Until that one day bow in hand, I'm sitting in a spot it took me hours to sneak into. I get to watch him stand up from his bed shake off a little snow and his maybe 5 min walk to me feels like and eternity. I'd get to watch the arrow hit its mark and make a clean pass through and I get to see him fall within 50 or 60 yards....oh what a dream.

Re: Dream Buck
My dream buck would be a true bigwoods brute, big thick chocolate rack (crazy mass) with some junk. He would dress out a fair distance over 200lbs and score anywhere over 150.

Re: Dream Buck
I wouldn't mind shooting a big, thick, chocolate antlered non-typical brute like this one:
Then again, I would LOVE to shoot a bleach white giant typical with crazy long tines, like the one Andrae shot in the Marsh DVD.

Re: Dream Buck
I'm a little different. My largest (scoring) buck isn't my favorite. I had a 3yr. "relationship" with a buck a few years ago. I sighted him from stand, in '05, as a 2.5yo.. I got him on GC in '06, and actually clipped him with an arrow that year. I saw him again 2-3X in '06....including seeing him crossing the road the evening of our closer.
I saw him on 11/2 and 11/3/07.....and couldn't get a shot at him (had him inside 10yds on both days). I killed him on 11/6/07. He's as close to a dream buck as I've had.
Taking a larger buck I had no history with would mean less TO ME.
