I think some might be missing the point of the pack frame. Comfortable padded straps, and a hip belt will inevitabley ease the pain of carrying a heavy load. A pack frame isn't just back pack straps that you can strap things to. The pack frame itself (the Alice one ZAP posted, I have 2) is designed to distribute weight around your upper body making the load feel like way less on your shoulders. I also hear guys saying it transfers the weight to your hips, and if you remove the straps and waist belt and JUST use those it will, but the pack frame it self acts like a lever, taking the weight from your shoulders and pushes it it to the small of your lower back, almost like it is using a mechanical advantage to help the load feel lighter.

The frame it self weights almost nothing maybe 1.5-2lbs? I will be using one this year and will use those green Raptor Twister Grips to for a quick attachment weather I want to use my climber or lock on.

I like the desert pattern better. At least for me it would blend in good with a lot of the swamp type settings.

I like it too just feel that it would stick out in the woods and be noticeable!

Just asking - Just saying

ALICE ("All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment")

MOLLE (MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment)

I prefer the Alice frame.

I was looking at this one, but I dont like the fact that the shoulder straps don't connect across the middle.
