Re: Kansas ??
You have to send a check to get drawn.....
There are always left over N/R tags.
You need to pick a unit also.

Re: Kansas ??
Yes its a draw hunt, you send $324 if I recall correctly in March and if drawn, they notify you of your success via mail or you can log on and check. If not drawn, then you get your money refunded, all but a small portion. If you get drawn, then you have to buy a hunting license which is $70. As Zap stated, you have to choose the unit(s) you would like to hunt in and then also choose the weapon. If you choose archery, you can only hunt with a bow. If you choose the muzzle loader season, you hunt that early hunt and I "think" you can rifle hunt if you have not filled your tag. Its the only real negative about that state in my opinion. If you get drawn, it will state what unit you can hunt. You can also hunt any unit that directly adjoins the unit your tag is valid for. You can also opt for the mule deer tag which is another $120 I think. Again that has to be decided up front in the spring when your applying.

Someday I'll try going to Kansas. When do they run their gun season? Is there a long bowhunting season before guns?
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

Some units are not a 100 percent draw, but they are towards the west part of the state, most of the eastern units have left over and you will get drawn.

Re: Kansas ??
My research shows you put in for a nonresident tag between April 1st to 27th 2012. Deer permit $322.50 if you get drawn and $72.50 for nonresident license. If you dont get drawn you get back $301 and a preference point for next years draw. You also have to choose a unit and a weapon.
