Coyotes Take Down A Good Buck

A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

Anybody who thinks coyotes don't effect deer populations should look at that.

That's terrible. They have already killed 2 of my pets. And almost killed another. But she pulled out of it. I gave her some antibiotics and doctered her up with some wound save. I got an a AR-15 and a light . I am getting ready to take care of the problem.

I'll be honest here. I didn't think coyotes could take a buck of this size that time of year. I know they can do It during the winter months. Mother Nature Is a mean one.

that is sad. I must admit I wonder if there was something a little wrong with the buck. But I imagine a pack could encircle one but I still think it would bolt.

I'd rather get shot by an arrow than ripped apart by coyotes...

Wow that is some crazy footage. I kinda thought the buck may not have been 100%. I think by pics of buck and yotes it was pretty hot. Buck may have been exhausted from the chase and could not go on any longer. We have a lot of yotes around our property. Had a couple encounters with bow and they moved in and out so quick no shot. Was hoping to see one this weekend. Did not happen.

Wow, that was really something. You don't see that everyday. It's a shame a buck like that met his demise in that fashion, but heck that's nature. I would without a doubt be going on a yote killing spree. It was only one yote that did most of the killing. I wonder why they always go for the but?

To me it sure seems like something must have been wrong with that buck. I find it hard to believe he would just stand there like that & let the coyote keep coming back. You would think he would have run off instead of just stand in pretty much that same spot, that seems odd to me. Not saying he couldn't have been healthy, but I would find it hard to believe. Maybe he had blue tongue or CWD or something like that to the point where he was 'easy' prey. If it was that easy for 1 (sometimes 2) coyotes to take down a mature deer there wouldn't be any deer left in some of the places i hunt because there are so many yotes. When I was bow hunting in iL the other week we would see one about every 3 sits, I was so close to killing a couple of them, but its tough with a bow and 2 people in the tree (cameraman trying to get it on video).
