So who has the most Pope and Young?

Unread postby GRFox » Thu Nov 10, 2011 3:28 am

More curious to see how many P&Y's you have and how long you have been hunting?

I have only 1 and 1 that just missed it (121"), been bow hunting for 11 years, but only really knew what I was doing for the past 4 or so. Its amazing to look back now and think......why the heck did I used to do that, or hunt there? LOL

So lets see whos got the most and feel free to post pics of trophy rooms or kill shots, ect ect ect.

I have none yet, but the buck I shot on halloween someone said might make it, what do you guys think? I think he will fall short, he broke his g3 on one side. I think if he would have still had it, I think he would have grossed pope and young but still netted short of it.

I dont regret shooting him for one second as he is still by far my best with a bow, but someday I would like to get a pope and young or better. I have a 145" net with muzzleloader, but just cant get above the bar with a bow.

4 here, none officially scored. You are talking bow correct?

Counting gun... I have 9 over 125"

I'm betting the guy that shot 4 last year alone (with bow), has a pretty good lead on most :o

Dan has to have 25+ over 125"s

Only allowed 1 buck a year in my state. Been bow hunting exclusively for 13 years.....Killed 11 bucks, 9 will gross P&Y, 6 will net P&Y....none have been entered.

I have zero interest in entering bucks into the book, I just use 125" and a standard or goal.

Are you talking about JClaws? Im pretty sure if I remmember from AT he has shot multiple popes in one year a couple times.

Stanley should have quite a few as well.

125 Gross is a pope to me, nets are for fishing.

I have a 142" and a 131" gross with bow on public land. Shot many smaller bucks over the last 20 years but started concentrating strictly on larger bucks about 5 years ago.

I have about 3 or 4 P&Y bucks entered. I quit entering them after that.... If there not entered there not P&Y. I have a lot that are not entered, and many that regardless of score are not P&Y because I used a lighted nock to capture the shot on film... Although legal, a buck shot with a lighted nock is not eligable for P&Y. P&Y is a private club, not a state record keeping agency. They make there own rules. I have over 30 mounts, most would at least gross 125 but not all of them.
