What do you prefer for tracking bucks....very low deer density or high?

I would think high density gives you much more options but can really complicate the tracking process with so much more sign. Interested to hear your thought on that in the podcast.

Also have you ever had a buck know he was being tracked yet you still caught up to him and killed the buck? I always found it interesting when Larry Benoit talked about how a buck he was tracking for many days would get frustrated because he couldn't shake him and started tearing up trees with agression. I found that pretty funny but still not sure if I believe that.

Looking forward to it magic! When tracking a buck back to his bedding area how often do you notice a j-hook? How big are the properties you are tracking in? When to know to go fast or slow down?

Bedding tendencies noticed while tracking? Bed high? Bed low? Nasty thick stuff? Edge of the thick stuff?

Magic, I'm intetested in hearing more about how you disect big woods to focus on certain areas. Your where's the buck post was a great learning aid.

What steps do you take when you are forced to track a buck when his tracks lead strait down wind for an unknown distance?

How fast do you follow him, and more importantly what are the biggest signs of when to slow way down? (or know you're getting really close)

For sure want to hear a lot about tracking tactics, stories & mature buck behavior. Certainly touch on gear as well but the experiences are the gold I am looking for.

Lotta great stuff mentioned.

I want it all. Are you too busy to do a 2 parter. 1 on the tactics/stories. The other on gear.

They wouldn't have to be back to back. Do one now then the other before season kicks in.

What ever happens . I can't wait!! :L:

I thought that a 2 part series would be better but I know that Mario is busy and there are many requests for other people to do podcasts. I'll bounce the idea off Mario. It's up to him and I guess what the other beasts want. I have to get this done soon because my summer workload is going to keep me running until November.

What about finding your way out of the big wilderness or finding lost buddies?

Example if your buddy is assumed lost, but in reality safe, sucking whiskey at a remote cabin with a bunch of hillbilly wood ticks.

While hunting the big woods it's important to stay hydrated.

Windsor and snow keeps you hydrated? I never would have thought of that.

I would be interested in hearing in depth discussion on the subjects of big woods hunting and tracking. Looking forward to whatever you choose to contribute. A supplementary thread with pictures of tracks would be nice to help connect the content with visual representations.

Can't wait for another podcast! I'd like to hear your observations on big buck movement/travel patterns while tracking. This should be a great podcast!

Bigwoods - a good chunk on tracking but tactics from beginning to end of the season, gun and bow would be interesting. Examples of things that have worked AND what hasn't.

Don't worry about rambling - bet you can't ramble as much as I did.

Thanks in advance for doing it.
