Save some for the rest of us Kilroy! Congrats on a tremendous season

When you get a chance can you do a lengthy write up on the missed shot. I don’t know why but I always enjoy those stories

That's a nice season.

Impressive piebald buck - surprised he lived that long with all that white.

I like those old rank bucks. .

Looks like you had a great season. Nice work. Great pics and a great write up.

Haha. Thanks. Yea ever since I read your explanation of your handle the more I realized that mature bucks really are ‘old, rank’ critters.

Not sure how the deer herd in FL survives with guys like you and Eddiegomes83 in the woods! :D

Eddie and his boys are straight killers. I am glad we don’t hunt the same WMAs

Haha. Not much of a story but I’ll try to make it entertaining for you. It was late morning and I had a guy come walking in on me. I saw him about 300 yards away heading in my direction and I started digging in my backpack for my orange vest. As I had my head buried in my knapsack I hear BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Bullets start skipping off trees all around me so I am waving my orange vest like a white flag for surrender as I am trying to hide behind the tree. Well I finally work up the courage to peak around the tree and I see the guy frantically reloading and the buck standing in front of him watching him. Sure enough as soon as the guy chambers a round the buck takes off and runs right towards me. It was a young tall 6pt I had no business shooting at and I would have passed in most circumstances, but idk I guess All the shooting got my blood pumping.

Sometimes I look for excuses to shoot a deer and I convinced myself that perhaps he had hit the buck and it may be wounded, so it was pretty much my duty at that point to dispatch that poor deer before he made it to the swamp… yea well, he made it to the swamp anyways and out the other side lol.
