Going to be bittersweet on our gun opener to be sitting the sidelines. I love the tradition, but hate the craziness it brings to all the properties around here.

I'm in the same boat being tagged out(1 buck only) in MN - that's why I head to WI next week though.

Thank you, but I tell you what it’s been weird lol. I shot this one the first day of my two week vacation and I’m depressed I had other bucks on the hit list and quite frankly older bucks. this one i actually told myself I would try to not shoot knowing he was only a 3.5 y/o, but never promised anyone I could let him walk. It’s REALLY hard for me to let a P&Y deer walk by me especially since I’ve never actually shot a true Net P&Y buck. The two bucks I’ve shot previous to this one were both 5+ and neither were P&Y net bucks. One probably not even MI commemorative book worthy. Either way I know there’s one maybe two 140ish 4.5’s running around that I could probably get on and have some fun chasing them around, but I can’t. And an out of state hunt is not in my bag of options with two kiddos under 3 at home right now. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t! I can cross the P&Y net off the list and go back to worrying about age class next year since that monkeys off my back! come on Oct 1 HaHa!
