Got the mount back yesterday. Hung it in it's temporary location of the stairwell before we do some painting in our family room. The hide marks were on the buck when I killed him on his neck and one side which we assume was from a fight or two.

Great deer. I like things like marks in the hide. It adds character.

The last buck I had mounted had a split in his ear. Told the taxi to leave it but he forgot and fixed it :?
