Its a "cheap" Kelty pack I bought off craislist for under $100, I have been using it for 4 or 5 seasons now. It works great for deer but im not sure about an elk killed back in a few + miles. Im pretty sure that was well over a hundred pounds in it for that 1/2 mile pack out and it worked just fine for that.

Congrats... i am amazed at how fast you guys flush them skulls. Isnt this the second one? That hose technique worked great on my son's buck. Literally blew his brains out. First one we ever did.

Thats awesome it worked out for him, I started in about 2005 and keep refining my method every chance I get so it keeps getting easier and easier and I get lazier and lazier with it...

My 2nd buck this year and im pretty happy with the way it all went. Cant wait for 2019!

I think we were to afraid of over boiling...lol..took all day because we had to keep heating back up to get the meat off. I am sure we will get faster as we keep doing it.
