Hope you didn't have to resort to the rifle due to destroying this years bow  Also no sign of being eat up with poison oak ethier I say the trip was a huge success!

Thanks! I’m proud to say my bow made it through the early season in 1 piece and only got into poison sumac once this year. there’s still late season though. :? :shifty:

Congrats Les! Awesome all of you guys connected on a really well thought out plan

Thanks, Jonny!

This was definitely a long, slow-developing plan that finally came together. I did a lot of cyber scouting of this area the past couple of years. Was able to get out only once this offseason and there was 3' of snow on the ground at the time. The one time that I got out bow hunting in the area this year I saw a nice bear and a decent buck, however, to maximize my time there, I did a little in-season scouting. The area looked "special" at the time so I did as much scouting from a distance as a could. Given all the different bedding areas nearby, I really wanted a NW wind to ambush this spot with several people. Thankfully, we got that NW wind opening day and the plan was executed to perfection! Was really cool to watch it unfold. I was more excited for my wife's cousin who got his very first buck and for my dad to shoot a decent 2.5 yrs old than I was for myself.
