Do Rabbits Count?

Slipped up on a couple swamp rabbits before the season closed!

Age? Score? Were they near bedding? Deer seasons over we need some details on these rabbits!

Bow hunting rabbits with the stick is about the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Nice!

Yes they we’re bedded, I slowly stalked along a narrow ridge intently scanning the briars and downed treetops looking for them. I knew running shots would be tough so I was hoping to spot them in their beds. The first one I didn’t see until it ran about 10 yards and stopped to see what had spooked it. Bad mistake! My arrow flew true to where I was looking and he was dead in seconds after my small game head went through it. About another 100 yards down the ridge I spotted my second victim backed into a mass of roots from a blow down tree. He was facing me and he succumbed to a well placed shot :)
That was a blast! Hope to do more of that next season
