Good story pk. After this year, I have a new found respect for those out of state hunts and especially that feeling of "what the heck am I doing right now?". I felt it in Ohio and almost every day in WV.

Congrats on a successful hunt

You did good. Nice bucks for sure.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Bowhuntercoop wrote:Dude! Killer write up. Congrats on everything. Sounds like a dream trip. You going back west again next year?

Oh yea. As long as I am able I will be in the Midwest for as much of as many November’s as possible that are left in my life. Heck I’m trying to find a way to move out there!

Any more out of state hunts for you this year?

Nope. Hence the title of the thread. Crazy how much $$ you burn thru on a trip like this even with eating pbj and deer tenders and sleeping in a tent or the truck...

Congrats! Yeah...once that midwest fire is lit it's hard to put it out. Been there every year since 2004.
