Would love to see a setup drawing on these if you are able. I am especially curious to see a topo of the location you killed the first deer. I am assuming he was cruising?

Thanks for the time spent putting this all together.

Ok. This is really crude but you can get the idea:
Image
The red line is the old logging road he was traveling from left to right. (Wind to back)
The light blue lines is where the ‘micro saddle’ was.
Blue X is where I was set up.

I believe he was going to continue thru the main saddle or hook to the South around the deep draw and either way I think he was within a couple hundred yards of where he was going to lay down on a leeward point. Though I could be wrong, he may have continued to cruise.

It’s tough to grasp what this spot really is without seeing the whole picture with surrounding topography and access points but I feel the topography is way to recognizable to post the actual topo.

Thanks PK for drawing this up and posting it. It seems as if you were right in the middle of a main hub with all those features coming together! I think a great point is the fact that you continued on and hunted terrain instead of getting caught up with the sign on the way in. That had to be tough to do. Congrats again......awesome job.

Well done PK.

Perfect description of PK. No disrespect to anyone on this site, but you'd get my vote for ELITE(prior thread if you don't get the reference)
