Very honorable! Gets my vote for hunt of the year!

Re: Windy day wounded buck
Thanks everyone, over the last 3 years I have grown to respect this animal, after I have had a few days to reflect I’m proud to have this one as my first buck. After I got out of the military I found it difficult to adjust and hard to be around large groups, this journey that I went on, pushed me way past my limits, and helped me rediscover who I am. I like to think that he helped me as much as I help him. I also would like to think that we would all do the same. It was either me or the coyotes I’m glad it was me.

Great write up! It's so rewarding when all the pieces of the puzzle come together. He may not be the monster you were after, but it doesn't mean there isn't one lurking there! Grab the gun and hip boots and get back in there this weekend!
