Bumping this thread and fixed the pics.
I have nothing but respect for Stanley so thought it would be fitting for us to all enjoy his last hunt. RIP my friend. You will be missed.

His last kill with a Beast hat! How cool! A small example of what he meant to the beast and the beast meant to him.

I know!! Me too.
Does anyone remember his kill zone post where his caption before the pic was “me smiling with the buck” but it was the same old strait faced Stan made me chuckle i’ll Always remember that.

I think it took us a season or two of Stan posting pics before someone finally asked him about smiling for a photo with a huge buck. Then it just became a thing after that.

I wish he posted more pics of his bucks but it just wasn’t his style unless someone requested them. Very humble guy considering the number of big bucks he killed and I truly respect that.
Stanley was one of the few guys I know that could speak with authority and also be able to back it up. I was amazed how he showed up consistently every October/November holding a big buck we can all only dream of killing some day. Still doing that at his age with the health challenges I know he was dealing with was amazing. Stanley was a true definition of a Beast and a guy I hope to emulate someday in my old age. Nothing but respect from me. Great man who will be dearly missed here.

I know one thing is for sure...I never wanted to be caught knocking on his door looking for landowner permission to hunt.

Thanks for bumping his 2017 story, I recall teasing him just after he killed it. Will for sure have Stanley in my thoughts when in the woods. Sure am going to miss Stanley.
I have nothing but pure admiration and respect for him. I cant remember how long ago he and I first spoke, maybe 12-13 years ago. It was via private message on another site, and every since then he has always offered advice to any question I had for him, deer hunting related or otherwise. Advice that was solid and true! A man could learn a lot from Stan.
