Re: Opening Day Buck! Now what?
Nice buck for sure. Killed a couple on opening day through out the years. I always hated when that happened. Nice to have one hanging but man being one and done is torture.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Great job. You need an out of state road trip hunt .

Re: Opening Day Buck! Now what?
Got mine on the opener last year, it's a blessing and a curse. Gives the rest of the season for scouting but it's not as easy to "create" the time to scout as it is to hunt! Didn't get out near as much as I would've if I had carried a tag all year!

Re: Opening Day Buck! Now what?
Thanks to all, appreciated for sure. I have been doing a bit of Missouri research. 8 hour drive, $200 tag from the little bit of time spent looks like there is some public land to hunt. I would not go till "rut" not a slam dunk but "there could be a chance of going" ever so slim.
Thanks again guys..

Good buck. Congrats.
No Shortcuts. No Excuses. No Regrets.

Congrats! Nice buck! Plenty of other hunts out there if you are interested in traveling.

Congrats!
Does your state have a reduced weapons law? we can take a buck each season (Bow, Rifle and Muzzy) fingers crossed for ya.......
OR
Can you shoot any does in your state? I would start doe hunting while using those as observation sits and scouting on the way in..........
either way.......Good problem to have.
