Geez- how many tags do you get down there? Are there any bucks still alive in your area?

 Well done! Great buck! I'm sorry to hear about the other buck, but I believe you did the right thing.

Many of you guys on here make me feel like Dennis Hopper in those crazed referee commercials back in the 90's.

Congrats PK. I passed on a fork yesterday. It was just to close to call on the 10" main beam and I was hoping the 8pt was gonna come out of the bed he came out of. Didn't hurt that I was 2.25 miles back in the swamp. Wish I had another day to hunt before I had to go back to work pretty sure the 8 was prob in one of the other two primary beds I know of in that area.

Yea I hear ya. Usually if you think one is probably legal, he is short. If you think he has a couple inches to spare, then he is barely legal, lol.

Hope you have another chance to chase the 8.

No he is safe for another year. I might sneak out for a mid day hunt Friday, but thats it my son has a N Florida youth hunt and then it's on to small game/ Late season scouting.
