Yes John it's just a "dink", but this chronic Lyme suffering old dog couldn't be more proud of an animal!!!!!     This old dog can still hunt!!! :shifty: :D :D :D

Too tired for details so you'll have to wait for the contest essay. Still have 2 doe tags in my pocket.

My drag crew. On left hunter_mike and on right Lil' Bro'!!!! I can't thank them enough. No way I could have done it myself!!! Friends, family and the great outdoors!!!

[thumbnail]Image[/thumbnail]

Close up of unusually large bases for the size of the buck. 107 pounds dressed weight. Antlers look like a 1.5 YO except for the bases. They look like there from a 2.5YO!!! As big as a half dollar coin.

Thanx

Chuck

Just a follow up on this guys age. I questioned if he may be a 2 YO. Well I finally boiled out the skull. With clean much less stinky jaw bones. I brought them in the house to compare against aging pics on the net.

This confirmed he is a 1.5 YO.

Here's the pic. Notice how the 3rd molar is starting to be pushed out by the adult molar. According to the reference pics. It looks to be in the early stages. So he was most likely right near exactly 1 year and 6 months old.

Oh yeah I also checked out Lil' Bro's scale. It's about 20 pounds on the light side. So actual weight was about 127#. More in line for his age.
Happiness is a large gutpile!!!!!!!
