Great deer! Have you has success on pastured land in the past? I've always struggled on pasture with cows in the area.

It's definitely better than most open, pastured ground. Several years ago I was searching maps to locate some properties where I could ask permission. Realistically, I knew I wouldn't be getting permission on the best ground and habitat. That led me to look for overlooked properties adjacent to the really good stuff. Luckily, I timed it right and gained permission on a really nice piece. The deer density is extremely high on the neighboring property. Eventually, the does have been harassed enough by small bucks that they start using the pasture ground to get away from the crowd. The mature bucks then end up cruising the pasture ground, and tending the does away from the thick cover and abundant deer numbers.
