Awesome buck Maine, congrats, you earned it!

I'm heading to Kansas Friday, what's the movement like right now? How will it be 18-25 in your experience?

Great write up and a dandy buck. Like the way you separate hobby from life. I think some of us can learn from this.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Even on a day with no deer sightings, I can still climb a tree, stand up in my stand and hunt all day. My eyes work. My legs work. Shooting a buck is just a bonus. Lots of guys would give anything to sit in a treestand even if they did not see a deer. Someone the other day commented to me "with all the big deer being shot, it would suck to not be the guy to not shoot one" My response? Losing a job would suck. Having my kids get sick would suck. My wife leaving me would suck. Not shooting a buck? Nope. Thats just part of it when you chase big whitetails.

^^^^^Awesome outlook on deer hunting. I know few hunters including myself that think like this. Great reminder of our true blessings and hunting is only a small part of it. Congrats on the great deer, your hard work paid off!

I totally agree. At times we lose focus of what is really important. Congrats to you and your buddy.
