Great deer, and story. I was pretty sure you would get a dandy buck down there. Not because it's Iowa. But because you put in the work on all your hunts.

Great public buck Dewey. I leave for a weekend up north and you knock down a slob, way to go!

You put in the time and effort and got a great buck as a result, that is BEAST hunting at its finest man. Great job.

I agree that is a 4 years old or older buck. A 3 year old would not dress at 218 and he has that big blocky chest, neck and head of a mature deer. Cool character on his rack. The vast majority of mature bucks around here are not, and will never be, booners.
