Maine turkey double

Unread postby nor' easter » Sun Oct 30, 2016 4:00 am

Today is the opener of deer rifle season here. Came out of the woods to find 2 flocks in the field, they busted out, I ran home and grabbed the shotgun. I caught up to them in the woods and beaded up on the biggest hen. I cracked her at 60 yards and the smaller bird was collateral. My first double. Image

That's what I was thinking! I usually don't shoot hens but I can't pass up fresh turkey!
