Great job on the write up, diagram and pics. Puts it all in perspective. Congrats again. You still on your cloud?

Thanks everyone, yes I am still hovering a bit. Been a struggle to stay focused yesterday and today.

Re: WI Public Land Archery Buck
HECK YEAH MAN THAT IS AWESOME.
reminds me of my FUMBLE post I put up. That spot was tore up with scrapes the year before. I somewhat found the big bucks bedding area, planned my access, waited for the perfect hand to be dealt, but I blew it LOL. He came in and I was still getting into my stand because of stomach issues.
WAY TO GO. Hope to get my redemption this weekend if the cards are right.

Nice buck, Congrats! Plan on doing anything deer hunting related between now and gun season?

Thanks! Yep I am going to move a few trail cams around near doe bedding onto two smaller properties and then plan to go for a couple walks to locate some more scrapes in areas that I found with big rubs this past spring. Sure is a weird feeling without a tag in the pocket.

Going into the rut with your tag filled can really be to your advantage when planning for next season. Drive around a pay attention where the bulk of the vehicles are parked and where the pressure is the highest. Great time to pinpoint those overlooked spots that nobody hunts and add them to your post season scouting list.

Good call dewey. I definitely feel like I need to take advantage of the situation. It almost seems like it could hurt my hunting next year by not doing the rut hunt this year.
