I should do the short story then have some fun.
Short story, went to vote, saw a farmer friend at the polls, she asked if I been to her property lately, I said no. Finished my work in the office, went to town bought a late season tag, told my wife I was going to Dwight and Theresas, walked around in the rain looking for turkeys, saw one. It didn't like my calls or couldn't hear me. I thought about circling in front, then it stepped 5 yards my direction, I slithered across the grass to a bush. It didn't come. Must have went the other way, now I am circling to find it. Looking at deer trails, looking for morels, kinda looking for the turkey I am supposed to be hunting.
Nice rub, I think there is an opening on top, turkey flashes, Lou is in Enigma camo it clearly cant see me everyone knows it can't hear me (it's raining), I knew to be patient (know that was funny) bang, flop, dead(kinda). Took a couple pics while I was standing on it, tagged it as soon as my foot came off (I swear).
That was fun. Bought the tag at 2:30 shot it around 4pm. Made it home, took shower and had to run to the school for Elllie's 5th grade camp meeting
I have to show the widow maker. I love that gun, but it is starting to kick the poop out of me
Then I was so wet and bloody from carrying this bird out and being in the rain for a few hours, I had to wash my pants and change clothes to go to the school, so I had to put my other Enigma jacket on (what you guys don't have two, not my problem call chuck and fix that)
11" beard, didn't weigh it, guessing 22-23 lbs. about 1" spurs. Another bird that didn't want to come to the call, oh well. Shootem and Eatem
