My Dad is a very good hunter. His best quality is his instinct... he knows to follow his gut.
He killed a lot of deer back in the day hiding in standing corn watching over the cut headland. I am very fortunate to have a good teacher. Whenever we would hang stands, we'd scout the area and he would have me pick a stand location or two. I'd do my best then he would critique with some constructive criticism. It helped my learning curve exponentially.

You my friend are fortunate....love my dad but he is not a very good hunter...lol. He went 22yrs without killing a deer. You can bet when he killed one this year, I basically ran into the woods and gave him a big hug.
