Bayou Meto Buck

Unread postby Ghost Hunter » Wed Nov 26, 2014 1:11 pm

Sunday morning after the rain my brother an I made a trip to Bayou meto. We did some looking around. Found an area where there were a lot of rubs an scrapes that was before the rain. There were trails coming out of the grown up cut over. There was a trail that was running parallel with the cutover. The trail run up to a levee break an crossed an ran parallel with the levee. Where the trails crossed was a large number of scrapes an rubs that occurred before the rain about 100 yards out of the cutover. The area just reeked with buck sign an tracks. My brother took off Monday. I told him that I had a feeling he would connect.

Well about 3pm I got the call an got there just before dark. We were on the deer soon enough to take a couple photos. We spent the next 3 1/2 hours getting him out of the bottoms. I have to say those drags never get any easier. But once it is over, you think. Lets do it again.

Dandy buck.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Arkansas buck. There are some good bucks come out of there I have learned.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.
