Re: 15 Min Rifle Buck
This post answered a question of mine- How soon is too soon?
My daughter will be 3.5 by the time turkey season rolls around. Pretty sure you just convinced me to get her in the blind.
Great buck. Can't wait to create some memories like that with my kids as well.

Re: 15 Min Rifle Buck
Thanks for all the replies. It was a pretty special morning.
There wasnt much to the hunt. That stand has been hunted for aroun 8 years - a lot during rifle season and some during late season. All regardless of wind direction!
I just happen to be in the right place at the right time.

Turkey season in a tent is perfect... I took my daughter at 4yrs of age... my son was 4yrs old when I shot a deer with him and his 7yr old sister
Take them young!!! Show them tracks... teach them about different types of trees... explain the woods to them. My kids are super interested....

Great memories for sure, congrats on a very mature buck! My son is 5 and he's definitely capable of walking farther in the woods than he was last year, it's really fun stuff, key is fun! Like Bucky said doesn't just have to be about the deer, but just teaching them being in the woods is special.
