Boneless Buck.

Unread postby PK_ » Mon Nov 10, 2014 12:00 pm

Beast hunt Friday evening. At the mouth of a draw between two bedding points. Watched a good buck come off the West Point and was coming to me then Got buggered. Unbelievable, then what buggered him came out of the draw, BEAR! He must have been holed up in the draw, lots of down Logs and boulders.

Just before last light I hear one get up and start breaking stick and heading my was off the East point. A buck with no horns and a very bad limp headed my way. Dropped him at 12 yards.

Great job on an odd buck! Looks like he has been rubbing with his nubs.

It was an old injury. You can see in the pic the front leg was locked up and he could not use it at all. It was a mercy kill, he would survive a good while longer im sure but would end up dying a pretty harsh death one way or another im sure. The antlers grew over like big buttons, just some pearling on top. Yea, he got the antlerless tag, so I am still in the game for horns.
