Bullhead bird.

Unread postby UPbowhunter » Thu May 16, 2013 1:20 pm

I was able to pull this guy from a flock of gobblers at fly down the other morning. He worked to about 15 yards but work back out to about 20 yards by the time I could get the camera and his head on the same page. Here first is a video still from the footage.

Nice, Congrats!

I've yet to try a "head shot" broadhead.

Congrats! I went to a bullhead as well, I like that its all or nothing and I personally think its a bigger target. When I shot mechanicals I was only good to 25 yards, with bullheads I am deadly to 30 and I didn't try further yet. If you think about it, most misses are high and low, and if you hit the turkey anywhere from say the beard up you have a dead turkey, which is about an 11"x3" target vs the small killzone on the body.

Cool!! I've killed a lot of birds with my shotgun. I think next season it's time to bust out the bow!!
