PLB scores a northwoods public Tom!!

Got one!! 19 degrees this am!! Lots of snow in woods yet!
6:10am. Battled with a hen off the roost and she came with him in tow!! Clear cold no wind finally!! They were screaming pretty good this am!!

Oops... 16lbs. 11oz. 9 1/2 inch beard, 3/4 spurs. These big woods birds are light this year!! Tough long winter and no ag near...

Cold but no dang WIND finally! Thought I forgot my gloves but found them in my vest at the last second when I was listening by the truck. The snow is so noisy and frozen with ice everywhere. Makes it so difficult to sneak up on a bird at 5:30 am when it's so quiet and still! Got lucky I guess??
