That was one of the cool parts of this hunt. He made a big loop and came back towards the road. My GPS said I was .25 mile from my truck and I caught an old tote road so the drag was on flat ground. It don't get much easier than that!

There are a few out there doing it. I'm not sure of their success rate.
I know it sounds easy when I get one but there are many fruitless days where I end up miles from my truck at the end of the day. I remember one day where I didn't know if I'd be able to step up into my camper when I got back. There are many days where I track them for miles and never even catch up to them.

Awesome hunt! Looks like he "left it all on the field" breeding the does this year ...What a great rack. There'll be some carbon copies of that buck running around in the future. Great write up - just like being there with you. That "busted" look he gave you will be etched in your memory forever... Seriously - Congratulations! :clap: :dance:
