A "Bark Silencer" doe harvest

Unread postby James » Tue Nov 13, 2012 4:40 pm

If you do not own a Bark Silencer from Uncle Lou, hopefully I can help persuade some of you. I was a little skeptical of carrying an extra item like this but it has earned a daily pack-in for my mobile whitetail hunting. I roll it up and it stores nicely in the bedroll straps of my badlands ambush fanny pack. I do not always use it but some trees just plain suck!

Sunday night I hunted a marsh transition between a winter wheat field that the doe on my family farm have been keying in on. The kill tree for the wind that evening had to be a hickory tree. I do not normally shoot deer sitting down but this big old horse doe was pretty edgy coming out and I didn't have the opportunity to stand up. I'm not normally a huge endorsing kinda guy but I was just tickled that the bark silencer aided me in killing this doe! Lou does a great job supporting the beast, the contests and prizes. Pick yourself up a bark silencer.

Thanks James for the kind words. You are having a magnificent season. You need to win an extra freezer.
