Post a picture of your mount from the 2010 season.

Unread postby Mountain Man » Fri Dec 03, 2010 10:39 am

If you shot/caught something in 2010 that you had mounted (can be any animal or fish - skin mount or replica) post a picture of it here. Antler/horn and European mounts are also welcome here. You could include a picture of the animal from the field or where ever and then a picture of the mount. If you want, go ahead and write a few sentences about why you chose the type of mount you did (i.e. pose, turn, etc.).

I suspect some early bow season deer should be done within the next couple of months and it sounds like Sam's gun buck should be done relatively soon. I also know there are some bears being mounted that were shot by Beast members.

Can't wait for spring! Really look forward to shed hunting and getting the "call" that it is time to pick up a treasured memory!

I think we should post the mounts of our 09 kills which most of us have now. It would make the thread go faster, and there can be another one in a few months for 2010. :?:

It's looking like I should have mine back before Christmas... Pretty excited! Will be going in to get my buddies archery buck he took with me during the rut in Waupaca Co. Buck was shot November 7th, and he's picking it up this week already... Great stuff!

Beautiful buck bowright. I wish I didn't have to wait until June for mine.

Just learned my 2008 Ram is done!!!!! I just need to get over and pick it up in the next couple weeks. It has taken nearly 2 years to get him done due to my Taxi caught Brucelosis and nearly died from it and was not working on any mounts for something like 8 months or so. Happy to say he is doing well, and, I did not realize this, but, once you contract this disease you never get completely over it. You can have relapses from time to time. He and I had a really cool discussion just a week ago about the experience and in particular the 12-24 hours that he wasn't expected to live. Quite a glimmer to what it might be like for others that close to death but still on this side of the fence so to speak. Talk about shock and awe. What an insight he got. He said it was like being in the corner of the room and watching everything going on around includind seeing his own body lying in the bed being cared for by others. He said it was peaceful as well as frightening all in the same breath.
I have seen a pic or 2 of the ram and it is just outstanding!!!!! Can't wait to get him back. The wall has been awaiting it's arrival. I think you all will really like it!!!!!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.John 3:16 KJV

This is the buck that I shot on November 14, 2010

I received my mount back on December 23rd. I chose full sneak because he was sneaking through the woods when I first saw him. The reason I got my mount back so quickly is my taxi(and friend) just moved to a new area and didn't have may mounts to do this year.

I just got the call from my taxi that he's ready to start on my buck. Dropped the skull cap off 3 days ago, hopefully finished in a few weeks.

Freaking pumped, the "Wall of Fame" will soon be updated, deer furthest to the left gets the bump.
