That's why it is always nice to get those early season bucks. They have nice coats on them and have not been abused from the rigors of the rut.

Good job B4L Got a couple going this year myself but you are much further along than me. It is a lot of fun doing it yourself.

It is a lot of fun, something I really enjoy doing. Keep at it man and post some pictures of your finished work. I still have plenty to learn myself in doing it but you learn something after each one you do. Good luck

Great first effort :clap: . Ive done a few over the years and it takes awhile to get all the anatomy down pat.

Nice work. How are you fleshing the hides? Are you tanning them yourself? The last two I did I took to a tannery, they fleshed and tanned them. I love putting them together, but could do without the fleshing!

I flesh them myself using a skife knife and a angle grinder with a brush in it. Have to be careful obviously but makes pretty quick work of them. I use krowtann to tan the hides.
