Re: Question on teeth
I believe that is the permanent teeth coming in. Easier to tell on the bottom jaw. My guess is that deer is in the 1.5 year class.

Re: Question on teeth
I've never seen this before.
There has been documented cases of deer growing canine type teeth. Maybe this is one of those abnormalities?

Re: Question on teeth
from what I understand the teeth that fall out have 3 cusps and the adult teeth that replace have 2 cusps..the premolars in the pic that appear to be being pushed out by adult teeth have 2 cusps...thoughts on that?

Not sure if top/bottom have same # of cusps but normally all the info you get on age/teeth is speaking of bottoms.

Re: Question on teeth
If the 3rd tooth from the front on the bottom jaw has 3 cusps, it is a 1.5 yr old class. That tooth is replaced with a 2 cusp adult tooth. I do not think top and bottom teeth can be compared when talking cusps.
