2014 WI Public bow buck

Unread postby wiscoz7 » Sun Dec 14, 2014 3:37 pm

I just got my buck back I shot Nov.6th. This buck was pretty cool to me for a couple reasons. I didn't realize till a couple days after I shot him I had trail cam pics of him bedding down in front of one of my cams while he was still in velvet. I thought that was pretty awesome. It was my first year running cams, so now I'm hooked. Also, once I got him home I was comparing a shed I found last spring and I'm 99% sure it's his, which is also a first for me. The shed was found probably 30 yards from where I shot him. This chunk of public has been kicking out a couple decent bucks for me the last two years, I'm just missing one worthy of a shoulder mount now. Hopefully next year, there are still a couple brutes running around out there!

Very nice looking.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Thats not worth a shoulder mount?

What did he score?
If it bleeds, we can kill it . . . .

I never scored either buck. I really need to do that though. My guess is they would score 120 tops???not sure. I just know they were shooters for me right now. There is one plus about not shooting monsters.....the taxidermist bill is much cheaper!!!
