Re: White Doe Mount Comments & Questions
I still hate to see you only do a shoulder mount Dan. I know it's expensive to do a full body mount, but man what a rare and beautiful animal! I will pitch in to help with the expense if you change your mind.
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

When I get the white buck I am targeting this fall, I might just get that full body mount.

Re: White Doe Mount Comments & Questions
Been following the white doe progress thread and it's really got me staring at my mounts. I love my guy, but I think it's time to start taking my deer to a full time taxi, not a part time one. Good post MM, wish you were closer, your attention to detail is scary.

Re: White Doe Mount Comments & Questions
I was just reading the post about the ear liners... One of my largest bucks had several wounds ( heck, most of the older bucks I shoot have several wounds ) One of the wounds was a broadhead hole thru the middle of its right ear. The taxidermist asked if I wanted to keep that hole/wound in the mount which I said yes... But when I got it back it was repaired.
I would imagine its hard for a taxidermist to replicate a natural looking hole in an ear?

It would be a little extra work but IMO it wouldn't be that difficult to do.

Do it like a regular one, then get your bow out and shoot it. J/K
Good thread on the white deer.
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.
